Terra Alta- 80 Years of Memories is the theme at the Preston County Buckwheat Festival September 29- Oct 2 in Kingwood, WV. Headline Books (Terra Alta), 2020 Independent Publisher of the Year, will be featuring 11 West Virginia authors in their booth this year. New releases include Four Bears In A Box: Back to the Beach and Gilligan’s Dreams: The Other Side of the Island by Dreama Denver, wife of the late Bob Denver of Gilligan’s Island fame (Princeton), The Day Ted Williams Came To Town by Lisa McCombs (Fairmont), Gregory’s Big Move by Bobby Benavides (Elkins), The Green Light by Karl Stewart (Huntington native), Tobias: Tales From the Past at the Old Stone House by Cookie Schultz (Morgantown), The Missing Hand by E.D. Michael (Morgantown), Last Casualty by Lee Doty (Kearneysville), And Raise Hell by Tony Hylton (Morgantown), and Koko & Stoney by Don Stansberry (Parkersburg) to name a few.
Headline president, Cathy Teets, said, “We are looking forward to returning to the Buckwheat Festival to share our new releases and authors after the hard times of the last few years. During the pandemic we developed a new program and YouTube Channel, Zoom Into Books where you and your family, school, library, book club can meet all the authors!”
