Novelists and Children’s Book Authors Featured at the 2023 Preston County Buckwheat Festival
Terra Alta- Born Among the West Virginia Hills is the theme at the 81st Preston County Buckwheat Festival September 28- Oct 1 in Kingwood, WV. Headline Books (Terra Alta), 2023 Independent Publisher of the Year, will be featuring 12 authors in their booth this year.
Guest Author and Prestonian Ashley (Teets) Belote will be signing her newly released book, Witch & Wombat (Random House).
Headline Books new releases include Four Bears Activity Book by Dreama Denver, wife of the late Bob Denver of Gilligan’s Island fame (Princeton), An Equal Piece of Justice by Lee Doty (Kearneysville), Comes Around by Tony Hylton (Morgantown), and Isle of Shadows by Don Stansberry (Parkersburg), WrestleDreamia by Daniel Boyd, and Dr. Raymond Keller (Morgantown) author of the Venus Rising Series and editor of West Virginia: Paranormal Gateway.
Karl Stewart (Huntington native) will be signing his award-winning Legend of See Bird series. Also featured new authors this year are Jan Thornton Jones author of Letters to Gettysburg and Angel in City Park, Joy Held author of Writer Wellness, Dayle Dabney award-winning children’s book author of Corinnes’ Fin and Corrines’ Team, Suzanne Alexander author of The Tip of the Tale.
