The Regional Book Festivals Announce 2026 Awards!

 

Los Angeles – The 2026 Regional Book Festivals names four Headline Books Titles Award Winners! Regions include The Great Northwest Book Festival, The Great Southwest Book Festival, The Great Midwest Book Festival, and The Great Southeast Book Festival.

Judges considered published and unpublished works in fiction, non-fiction, biography/autobiography, how-to, compilations/anthologies, photography/art, children’s, cookbooks, poetry, spiritual, young adult, business/technology, unpublished manuscripts, wild card (anything goes!), history, memoir and regional lit.

In addition to honoring the top selections in the above categories, judges look for general excellence and the author’s passion for telling a good story plus the potential of the work to reach a wider audience.

Headline Titles win the following awards:

Breathe Easy by Tammy DonahueWinner, Runner Up, and Honorable Mention
The Heart of a Leader by Dr. Josh McConkey — Winner and Runner Up
Can Skinwalkers Swim? by Michael Wescot Loder — Runner Up
The Greenbrier River Adventures: JoJo the Dragon by Rusty McQuade — Runner Up and Honorable Mention

Headline Books will be attending the American Library Association (ALA) 2026 in Chicago, IL, June 28-June 30 and will have award-winning authors featured in their booth.
