Don Howard’s American Authors

Born in Denison, TX, and raised in Ozark, AL, Don Howard embarked on his artistic journey more than fifty years ago. From an early age, his passion for art burned brightly, inspiring him to find creative ways to nurture his talent. Though art was not widely considered a practical career path at the time, Don remained steadfast in pursuing his dream.

After graduating from high school in Ozark, AL, Don attended Hampton University on a football scholarship. Upon completing his studies, he launched his professional career at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA.  After years with Disney, Don relocated to Huntsville and established Don Howard Studios. At that point, he made the defining decision to devote his artistic career exclusively to caricature art—a decision he has never regretted.

His work is recognized worldwide for its tasteful style, capturing the personality and likeness of each subject with humor, creativity, and professional craftsmanship rather than exaggerated distortion.
