2017 Independent Publisher of the Year Coming to Southern Christmas Show

Headline Books showcases award winning authors, award winning books

Charlotte, NC – Headline Books will be headlining the Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte, November 8-19 at the The Park Expo and Conference Center. Show theme is Silver & Gold and Headline has plenty of gold and silver awards to bring along! Headline Books will be honoring American Veterans and free flags available while supplies last.

Gold and Silver medal authors Don Helin, Angie Wilson, and Don Stansberry will be signing books November 8 to 11. Don Helin, retired from the Pentagon, will be signing his military thrillers that include Devil’s Den, Secret Assault, Angel’s Revenge, and Long Walk Home. Angie Wilson, Mom’s Choice Award Winner, will be signing her Appalachian children’s book, Dori’s Gift, plus her Gracie Mystery series and Gracie Guide Books for better living for middle grades. London Winner, Don Stansberry, will be signing his new thriller, Vulture Bend, plus his middle grade medieval series about a 12 inch tall wizard, Inky, Crusty – children’s picture book, and his multi-award winning novel, Secret Blood.

November 11 – 13 includes Pulitzer Prize Nominee, Lynn Salsi (Greensboro) signing her award winning Appalachian Jack Tales series; Diana Pishner Walker, Hopping to America Series and Spaghetti & Meatballs: Growing Up Italian; Rachelle Wilfong author of Growing Up Lilly Roo, and Melinda Chambers, author of Fraidy Cat, We Are Whoo We Are, The Day the Snapdragons Snapped Back, Chilly Billy, And We Helped!, all Mom’s Choice Award Winners. Diana and Melinda are Literary Classics International Book Award Winners, and Diana is also a Creative Child Magazine Award Winner.

Nov 14-16 features Jason Lynch, award winning author and owner of the E. G. Bear Company signing his books and showcasing his toys. November 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 Indie Book Award Winner and 2016 Independent Author of the Year, Rick Robinson, will be signing his political thriller series: The Maximum Contribution, Sniper Bid, Manifest Destiny, Writ of Mandamus, Advance Man, and his coming of age novels, Alligator Alley and The Promise of Cedar Key. Rick is a Grand Prize Winner in London, Florida, and is a President’s Book Award Winner.

Nov 17-19Karl Stewart, award winning author of his Native American series, The Legend of See Bird, and WWII novels Seventh Cruise and Up Harvey’s Creek. Anne Beatty, author of mystery Please Forgive Me, Dennis Hetzel, author political sports thrillers Killing the Curse and Season of Lies. North Carolina native Mark Nielsen, Silver Falchion Finalist Killer Nashville, will be signing his novel, Hotlanta. Millie Snyder, award winning best selling author of the Lean & Luscious series of cookbooks — over a million sold.

Nov 18-19 – Children’s book authors, Eileen Cooley and Colleen Driscoll, both Mom’s Choice Award Winners. Eileen will be signing her book, Why Do My Feet Say Yes When My Head Says No? Colleen’s new book, Piper the Elf Rides A Reindeer, is the fourth in her Piper the Elf series.

Headline Books is an independent publishing company in West Virginia with ties to the Charlotte area. Publishing books since 1985, they have over 300 titles in print and have won 477 national awards. Cathy Teets, president, said, “We are so excited to be coming to the Southern Christmas Show! We publish fiction, non-fiction, and have a children’s book division.
