Terra Alta—The Place I Belong is the theme at the 82nd Preston County Buckwheat Festival, which will be held September 26- 29 in Kingwood, WV. Headline Books (Terra Alta), 2024 Independent Publisher of the Year, will feature eleven WV national and international winning authors in its booth this year.
Guest Author and Prestonian Ashley (Teets) Belote will be signing her newly released books, Sheepwrecked (Random House) and Don’t Wash Winston (Macmillan).
Headline Books’ new releases for 2024 include Island to Icon: The Many Lives of Bob Denver by Dreama Denver (Princeton). This photo collection not only commemorates the 60th anniversary of the iconic TV Show “Gilligan’s Island” but is a tribute to the life and career of America’s favorite castaway.
Hardy’s Heroes by Rick Shockey, Autumn Is Coming by Jan Thornton Jones, The Real Resident Aliens by Dr. Raymond Keller are new for 2024 and all recently won awards at the Paris Book Festival.
Karl Stewart (Huntington native) will be signing his award-winning Legend of See Bird series. Also featured this year are, Joy Held author and creator of Write Day Gift Boxes; Dayle Dabney award-winning children’s book author of Corinnes’ Fin and Corrines’ Team; C. D. Tony Hylton (Morgantown), Lee Doty (Martinsburg), Don Stansberry (Parkersburg), Kelsey Clark (Albright), and Daniel Boyd (Charleston).
