Terra Alta—Where the Mountains Come Alive is the theme at the 83rd Preston County Buckwheat Festival, which will be held September 25- 28 in Kingwood, WV. Headline Books (Terra Alta), 2024 Independent Publisher of the Year, will feature nine WV national and international winning authors in its booth this year.
Guest Author and Prestonian Ashley (Teets) Belote will be signing her bestselling books, Sheepwrecked (Random House) and Don’t Wash Winston (Macmillan). Ashley’s new book, Little Red and Big, Bad Fred will be released in November.
Headline Books’ new releases for 2025 include Lawrence Likes to Dance by Don Stansberry (Vienna). Don is a Mom’s Choice Award Winner and a Next Generation Indie Book Award Winner.
Hardy’s Heroes Book 2 by Rick Shockey, Charlie’s Wings by Karl Stewart, Pennsylvania in the Paranormal Vortex by Fred Saluga and Dr. Raymond Keller, a pioneering work which underscores alternate universe theories to help explain Bigfoot and cryptic sightings, UFO and alien encounters. The Pulse of the City by C. D. Tony Hylton is a new release this month and fourth in his Rick Hill series.
Tammy Donahue will be signing her new novel, Breathe Easy. Tammy is also a multi-award-winning children’s book author.
Also featured this year are popular authors, Joy Held author and creator of Write Day Gift Boxes and Dayle Dabney award-winning children’s book author of the Corinnes’ Fin series.
