Calgary, Alberta—The 2016 Indie Book Awards announce winners and finalists and four titles published by Headline Books garnered awards.
Life’s Choices by Paul Turk was named a Finalist in two categories, Best Religious Fiction and Finalist in Best Christian Fiction. Paul lives in Florida and his book has won many national awards.
Cauliflower Heart: A Romantic Wrestler by Diana Hart was named a Finalist for Best Romance novel. Diana lives in Canada and her book has won numerous national awards.
Silent Trees: Power and Passion in War Torn Afghanistan by Nasir Shansab was named Finalist for Best Multicultural Fiction. Nasir is dual citizen of the United States and Afghanistan and resides in Washington, D.C. Silent Trees is the recipient of several national awards.
Spaghetti & Meatballs: Growing Up Italian by Diana Pishner Walker, illustrated by Ashley Teets was named Finalist for Best Multicultural Non-fiction. Diana lives in Fairmont WV and Ashley Teets lives in Morgantown, WV. Spaghetti & Meatballs is also a Mom’s Choice Award Recipient.
Unsinkable Spirit by Fred Engh named Finalist for Best Motivational Non-Fiction. Fred lives in Florida and is the founder, president and CEO of the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) and the International Alliance for Youth Sports (IAYS), helping thousands of student atheletes and their families.
The Next Generation Indie Book Awards is the largest Not-for-Profit book awards program for indie authors and independent publishers. In its ninth year of operation, the Next Generation Indie Book Awards was established to recognize and honor the most exceptional independently published books in over 70 different categories, for the year, and is presented by Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group in cooperation with Marilyn Allen of Allen O’Shea Literary Agency.
