HOLLYWOOD BOOK FESTIVAL NAMES ‘1968’ FOR TOP HONORS

1968 by Rick Robinson Wins Grand Prize

HOLLYWOOD_An examination of the tumult during one of the most volatile years in U.S. history has been named the top book of the 2024 Hollywood Book Festival, which honors books worthy of further attention from the film, television, and gaming industries.

Author Rick Robinson’s 1968: A Primer for Understanding Baby Boomers (Headline Books)is a small-town deep-dive into one of the most significant and controversial years in American history.

Vietnam, the assassinations of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Bobby Kennedy, civil rights, protests at home and abroad, Nixon versus Humphrey – all made 1968 a seminal year.

This book is a month-by-month look into 1968 with a lens of understanding how this year helped shape not only baby boomers, but all generations that followed.

The Hollywood Book Festival also names Rick Robinson 2024 Independent Author of the Year and Headline Books 2024 Independent Publisher of the Year with the Grand Prize win!
