Los Angeles–The Halloween Book Festival announces the best books of the Fall Season
Judged on excellence and potential to reach a wide audience, the judging panel was overwhelmed with zombies, ghosts, and other things that go ‘bump in the night!’
Headline title, The Waddling Dead: Megachomp D.D.S. by Joan Spilman and illustrated by Ashley Teets took Runner Up for Best Children’s book.
Inky, Oglebee & the Witches by award winning author, Don Stansberry, won an Honorable Mention for Best Young Adult Book.
“We are thrilled with these new awards,” said Headline president, Cathy Teets. “Joan is from Hurricane, WV and Don is from Parkersburg, WV and both do an excellent job not only in children’s books but other genres as well. We are very proud of all of our award winning authors and books!”
