Los Angeles – The Regional Book Festivals honors top books in the Northwest, Southwest, Southeast, and Great Midwest Book Festivals.
Judges considered published and unpublished works in fiction, non-fiction, biography/autobiography, how-to, compilations/anthologies, photography/art, children’s, cookbooks, poetry, spiritual, young adult, business/technology, unpublished manuscripts, wild card (anything goes!), history, memoir and regional lit.
In addition to honoring the top selections in the above categories, judges look for general excellence and the author’s passion for telling a good story plus the potential of the work to reach a wider audience.
Headline Titles win the following awards:
The Angel in the Park by Jan Thornton Jones wins Best Children’s Book in all four festivals, Calvin B. Fisher – The Northfield Saga: Storm Warning wins Best General Fiction in the Southwest Book Festival and an Honorable Mention at the Northwest Book Festival. C. D. “Tony” Hylton III – Comes Around, wins an Honorable Mention for Best General Fiction in all four festivals and Don Helin – Buried Relics, wins an Honorable Mention for Best General Fiction at the Great Midwest Book Festival.
Headline Books will be attending the American Library Association (ALA) 2024 in San Diego CA June 27-July 2 and will have award-Winning authors featured in their booth #2113.
