The Adventures of Rose and Miss Honey Bee by Cynthia C. Dobbins takes young readers on an enchanting trip with Rose to learn about honey bees and will educate them on honey bee biology and how they work hard to produce honey. Rose loved all animals, big and small, and on land and sea. She dreamed of becoming a veterinarian when she grew up. Rose went out with Miss Honey one day to learn all about the honey bee. Miss Honey told her bees had six legs and five eyes to see everything and the buzzing noise was made from their two pairs of wings. The wings kept them warm in the hive and the two antennae they have allowed them to feel, smell, and taste. The bees had two stomachs and they carried the nectar in their honey sac. Miss Honey taught her the ‘waggle’ dance and the ’round’ dance that the bees did. She told Rose that the bees spoke to each through these dances.
