About the Author

Brendan Sellaro is an award-winning illustrator from Morgantown, West Virginia. After growing up in his father’s comic book store, Brendan began to study and utilize the stylized art of comics and cartoons. Incorporating elements of American and Japanese comic art into his work, he creates illustrations that capture the essence of both worlds. He has also illustrated Lilly in Lilly & Nana-Mom’s Choice Award Silver, International Book Award Finalist, Reader’s Favorite Book Award Silver, Paris Book Festival Honorable Mention. Other credits include Funny Dan the Race Car Man Activity Book and Funny Dan the Race Man, also a Mom’s Choice Award Silver, London Book Festival Honorable Mention, DIY Book Festival Honorable Mention, and Hollywood Book Festival Honorable Mention. Brendan graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in printmaking and enjoys drawing caricatures at local fundraisers as well as writing and illustrating his own stories.
