Richard Hatin has done a masterful job of creating a world where the 12th Century Knights Templar and the 21st Century coexist in this fanciful tale of good versus evil. Today, with hatred and bigotry on the rise, as evidenced by the great increase in acts of seemingly random violence, bombings, mass shootings and murder – the question of why persist!
Over the centuries, even as the world thought they were only a myth, the Knights continued to exist in secret to wage that desperate battle against Lucifer and his minions. Now with their ranks severely depleted, mankind’s only hope will fall on seven young teenagers who have choose to take up a sward against absolute evil!

Richard Hatin does it again in “Taking Up The Sword.” It was a thrilling read. It won’t take long until you are hooked on the journey of young teenagers who choose to take on the mantle of a Knight Templar. There is plenty of drama to go around and some great twists and turns to fill you with anticipation. Did I read correctly this is part of a series! Can’t wait for the next episode!
