Paris Book Festival Honorable Mention Best General Nonfiction
There are many hundreds of pyramids around the world. They have been built by a variety of different cultures in a number of different eras. Those that appear to be either the most important or the most representative show up in North America, South America, Central America, Mesopotamia, Egypt, and China, but there are multiple other analogous structures located elsewhere.
This book looks closely at a few of the pyramids, with an emphasis on their descriptions and histories. The methodologies of their construction and their purposes are also addressed. Additionally, some alternative theories about these pyramids are explored.
